  2. Hey, Virginia. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you on this. I have a hard time figuring out the interface for this blog site, and blogs in general. I am fans of other blogs but don't ever seem to get updates. I lived in a house in East Atlanta for 11 years. I needed a new challenge, a quiter neighborhood, and always wanted an older house. I sold my house in EA in March close to my asking price. My new house in Rogers was half the cost of my EA house, is twice the size, and I now have a double lot. I love Rogers and Westview. Very quite; very nice, considerate neighbors; and I love the houses and the trees. It is astonishing to me that more people like ourselves aren't buying over here, given the quality of the house types and styles, and the beauty of the hood. I think that people have hard time getting loans without puttin down 20% because of the high foreclosure rate in the past. Also, Westside Atlanta still has a stigma. (Good for me, because I got my house for so cheap!) 1740 Rogers is a great house from what I can tell on the outside. Ruby and Cory live next door, and Earl Picard, a professor at GSU lives across the street. There are a few Section 8 houses scattered around; I am not sure about how they are as neighbors. You can go to "westviewcommunity" on Yahoo groups to check out our neighborhood correspondence. Currenlty, we are excited about applying for a grant for free street trees. Check out Patrick and Steffi's blog: http://www.westviewatlanta.com/. These guys are awesome and were instrumental in me wanting to move over here. Also, please check out our Facebook page: "Westview"
